To post your Web page:

Make sure all of your files are saved in one folder first, including graphics.

1. Go to Start > All Programs > WSFTP. (You can also find the Smart FTP icon on the desktop.)

2. Profile name: can leave blank

3. Host name is ux1.usiouxfalls.edu

4. Host Type is Automatic Detect

5. User ID is your Account Name for your Web page (not your e-mail account name)

6. PassWord is your Web page password (not your e-mail password)

7. Account: leave blank

8. Click OK.

9. On the right side, double click WWW.

10. Click the blue I drive on the left. On the left side at top, for local system make sure it says I drive:\ (this will be what you have saved on your I drive)

11. Go down and find your web page folder with all your Web page information and click to open it.

12. Select all the files you wish to post (do not select the drives i.e: a, c, d, e, etc.)

13. Click on the right arrow in the middle of the screen. Your files will transfer to the server.

14. REMEMBER to save your index page as index.html

15. To go to your Web page on the Internet type: http://www.usiouxfalls.edu/~youraccountname

16. If you saved your index page as index.htm you need to type in

www.usiouxfalls.edu/~youraccountname/index.htm
