Dear Randy,
I just wanted to thank you for arranging my retirement party last weekend.
It was a big surprise to see everyone from work gathered at my house Saturday morning!
Although I am moving to Florida, I will definitely keep in touch. It has been wonderful working for you! I also enjoyed working with the rest of the wonderful staff,
Yours truly,
Mary

Dear John:
How are things going in Florida?
I’m sorry I haven’t written to you in a while, but things have been hectic here in St. Louis. My business is taking off and Mary and I are now the proud parents of a baby girl named Jessica.
Will you be coming to St. Louis for a visit anytime soon?
I look forward to seeing you.
Your pal,
Dear member:
This year marks the Boston Cycling Club’s first ever cycle-a-thon, which takes place April 10.
The event is aimed at raising money for local charities while raising our organization’s profile in the community.
Participants are asked to solicit pledges from local businesses, and then everyone involved will enter a five-mile bike ride.

I am writing to express a job well done.
Last month, I called you about the roof of my house being repaired.
Although it was a small job, your employees worked diligently and put forth a tremendous effort.
I will certainly recommend Brown’s Construction Company to all of my friends.
