CHECKLIST

oChange The Margins: .75 on top, .75 on bottom

oSelecting and Centering Text:  Senn High School, address, etc.

oChanging Font and Font Size: Line 1 - Arial, size 18, Bold
Line 2-5 – Arial, size 14, bold

oAdding a Horizontal Line:  Click on Page Layout tab and choose Page Borders. From the Borders and Shading dialog box, click the Horizontal Line button at the bottom of the page.  At the Horizontal Line dialog box, select a line, and then click ok.

oAdding Clip Art: Place your cursor in front of  the “S” in “Senn,” and press Enter. Double-click above the “g” in “High” (middle of the title). If a toolbar appears, just click again. Click the Insert tab, and choose Clip Art. Type in School Buildings in the search box. Find a picture of a school and insert it into the letter.

oResize the Clip Art.

oType the letter in a size 12 font with colored text.

oChange Line Spacing:  Select the text in the body of the letter. Click the Home tab, and from the Paragraph group, click the Paragraph Dialog Box Launcher (arrow to the right of the word Paragraph). From the Paragraph dialog box, click the Indents and Spacing tab. From the Line Spacing menu, choose 1.5 lines, and then click ok.

oAdding a Watermark: Click the Page Layout tab and in the Page Background group, choose Watermark. From the drop-down menu, choose Custom Watermark. At the Printed Watermark dialog box, select Picture watermark, leave scale at Auto, check Washout, and click Select Picture. In the Insert Picture dialog box, select a picture and click Insert.

o Print the letter out in color.

PRINTING AN ENVELOPE

oClick the Mailings tab and from the Create group and choose Envelopes. In the dialog box, the Delivery address should be typed in. Next, click the Return address area and type in a return address.
oYou can change the Font for the addresses by right clicking and choosing Font.
o To print the envelope, just click on the print button in the dialog box and insert an envelope into the envelope feed slot in the printer.  To attach the envelope to your current document for later printing, click Add to Document in the dialog box.
