TWO YEAR PLAN

 

This Master's program is designed to meet the challenges of teachers, who because of time and travel limitations, need to attend classes on a campus only during the summer. The program was designed to include instruction in a format that allows a course to be completed within a two-week period during the summer sessions with online classes offered in the fall and spring.

The two-year plan includes:

Summer 2003

June 2-12 EDU 504 Telecommunications in Education (3 s.h.)

June 30-July 10 EDU 514 Teaching & Learning with Technology (3 s.h.)

July 14-24 EDU 521 Curriculum Development and Design (3 s.h.)

Fall 2003

EDU 535 Applying Educational Technology - Practicum in your school. (3 s.h.)

Spring 2004

EDU 554 Leadership Issues in Educational Technology (3 s.h.)

Summer 2004

June or July EDU 501 Professional and Ethical Leadership (3 s.h.)

June or July EDU 531 Legal Foundations of Education (3 s.h.)

June or July EDU 564 Multimedia/Hypermedia Applications and Programming Tools in Education (3 s.h.)

Fall 2004

EDU 574 Technology Planning & Implementation/Research Application Project (3 s.h.)

**Prerequisites: Completion of all required coursework with the exception of elective credits

**Other Requirements to be completed during the two-year format

*EDU 585 Research Methods (3 s.h.) - this course is offered exclusively in an on-line format during the summer and fall semester.

*Three (3) graduate credits of electives must be completed and are not included in the plan above.

SPECIAL NOTES: The technology concentration in the M.Ed. Program requires successful completion of 33 graduate credits as described above. Each course listed is three (3) graduate credits as noted. The new two-year group will begin in the Summer 2003 session.
